What is Expats Living In Palermo?
A non-profit association (associazione non commerciale) legally registered in Italy, dedicated to connecting international residents, expats, digital nomads and Erasmus students living in Palermo and Sicily. We organise events, manage a large WhatsApp network, Palermoforexpats.com and build a genuine community for people who call Palermo home.
What is the difference between the two membership plans?
There is no difference in what you receive — both plans include exactly the same benefits and access. The only difference is the price. The Founding Member plan at €5/year is a limited-time thank-you offer for existing community members, available only until 30 June 2026. After that, the standard €19/year plan applies to everyone.
Is this a commercial service?
No. Associazione Expats Living in Palermo is a legally registered non-profit association in Italy. Membership fees are used exclusively to cover the operational and organisational costs of running the association and its activities.
How do I access the WhatsApp groups after joining?
After completing your registration and payment, you will receive a welcome email with access to your account page with the invite links to all WhatsApp groups. You can choose which thematic groups to join based on your interests during the registration — from events and dinners to sports, Q&A, housing and more.
What kind of member discounts do I get?
Exclusive deals and discounts at a growing network of Palermo restaurants, bars, gym, venues and local service providers who partner with our association. Members simply show their membership card to unlock the discount. The list of partners grows continuously.
